Publication project „The Orient in Switzerland. Neo-Islamic Architecture an Interiors in the 19th and 20th century” (UZH/2015-2018)

In the publication project “The Orient in Switzerland. Neo-Islamic Architecture an Interiors in the 19th and 20th century” (2015-2018) led by Prof. Dr. Francine Giese, a research team of the University of Zurich will examine the widely forgotten Orientalist architectural tradition in Switzerland. The publication will present the first comprehensive history of Neo-Islamic architecture in Switzerland, focusing on a selection of buildings and interiors from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
